- Rudder Skeleton signed off
With
the rudder skeleton complete I put it into the car and set off to
see Martin the inspector, good news it gets signed off.
Time to go back home and get some more done !!
This
means getting the skins riveted on...well clecoed on to start with
First skin clecoed and probably the last shot of
the interior of the rudder.
Riveting starts with area where the
counterbalance skin meets the rudder skins and spar. They
are different sizes here so some careful studying of the plans is
required or its back out with the drills ! Although I had
put the counterbalance in earlier I had forgotten to torque seal
the nuts. Whilst the picture is really blurry you can see
the green torque seal on the nuts.
